The Playhouse hosts performing arts, conferences, trade shows, seminars, community functions, business meetings, banquets, wedding receptions and more. Inside includes a 700-seat theatre, large ballroom, and lobby which permits flexible use by two different groups simultaneously. Dakota Prairie Playhouse is an excellent venue, with experienced staff to help make your next event an affair to remember.

Located in the community room of the Depot, The Madison Depot Museum was added to the National Register of Historic Places in November of 1989. The Depot has been preserved and displays railroad memorabilia from when it served the region as an intermediate size station of the Milwaukee Road Railroad. The last passenger train departed Madison in 1953 and the station closed in 1979.The Depot was restored and reopened in 1990 as the home of the Greater Madison Area Chamber of Commerce and Lake Area Improvement Corporation. The grounds include a picnic area, green space, and a memorial brick wall of the restoration contributors.
