Pay It Forward

The Military Affairs Committee has been spreading kindness and appreciation this holiday season through their Pay It Forward Gift Card Project. MAC members were given $20 gift cards to carry through the month of December. At any time they can gift these cards to a military member.

Keeping a great relationship with our military neighbors strengthens our community, protects their mission and makes the Niceville Valparaiso area military friendly community. We appreciate their sacrifice, we respect their mission and 100 random acts of kindness were given out this holiday season to show it.

Want to be part of this amazing committee? If you are interested in learning more about the local military and their missions, would like to tour the installation and connect with the military leadership the Military Affairs Committee might be for you! There are currently 3 open positions for the committee in 2019. Lunch meetings take place the Thursday of the month starting in February. Please call 850.678.2323 for more information. Additional dues to support MAC projects do apply.

USO Donation

The Military Affairs Committee of the Niceville Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce supported the USO Freedom Lounge at the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport with a $1,000 donation. Pictured are Chairman of the Board, Gordon King, USO Manager, Diane Freeman, and MAC Chairman Mark Clark, Okaloosa Gas.

School of the Month

Congratulations to Edge Elementary the Education Committees School of the Month. Principal Dr. Dawson is pictured above with 2018 Education Committee Chair Mandy Campbell, Ferrin Campbell Construction. Congratulations to Edge for, once again, being named as an A+ School! Edge is a great example of the excellence in education we enjoy in the Niceville Valparaiso Area and we sincerely appreciate the teachers and staff for all they do.

Military Affairs Committee

Special thanks to Command Chief Master Sgt. Kenny Bruce, 33rd Fighter Wing, the Guest Speaker for the December Military Affairs Committee Meeting! He is pictured here with MAC Chairman, Mark Clark, Okaloosa Gas who presented him with a MAC coin.
