Trillum produces original choreography, and offers classes in dance, writing, acting and filmmaking. The compa- ny is based in the historic Lewis Theater in downtown Lewisburg, which shows movies in the evenings. The Greenbrier Valley Chorale is a choral society composed of community members. The Chorale presents public con- certs twice a year at Carnegie Hall. Members range in age from high schoolers to retirees, and sing major classical works, Broadway tunes, jazz, popular songs and more. New members are always welcome – provided they can pass the audition! OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES Hiking, biking, kayaking, caving, rock climb- ing, camping, fishing, hunting, skiing, golfing – it’s all right outside the door. The Greenbrier River and the 78- mile long Greenbrier River Trail wind through the valley, offering opportunities for hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing and fishing, or just sitting back and watching the river flow. The river and trail have multiple access points and offer some of the region’s best scenery. One-eighth of the Monongahela National Forest lies within Greenbrier Coun- ty’s borders. A U.S. Forest Service visitor center in White Sulphur Springs provides information on the forest, which includes the Lake Sherwood Recreation Area and its 164-acre namesake body of water. The lake has camping and picnic facilities, boat rent- als, and is a popular fishing spot. Greenbrier State Forest, near White Sulphur Springs, has rental cabins and campsites, a large outdoor pool, hiking and biking trails, a disc golf course, a shoot- ing range, and 5100 acres of forested ter- rain. Showshoe Mountain Resort, a four- season resort with 57 ski trails, restaurants, shops and a vast assortment of condos, townhouses and rooms, is located in nearby Pocahontas County.
